FOUR PAWS is thrilled to introduce our first Lamb Ambassadors!
Lamb Chop—the legendary TV star—and her sister Mallory Lewis have officially joined FOUR PAWS’ Ambassador program as our very first Lamb Ambassadors!
Mallory Lewis is the daughter of celebrated actress and writer Shari Lewis, who entertained children from the 1950s through the 1990s with the beloved Lamb Chop. After her mother’s passing, Mallory took over the act, continuing the legacy and keeping their charm and humor alive. Today, they perform on TV and in live shows and continue to gain a new generation of fans on TikTok and Instagram.
Now, the duo uses their global platform to “Be Their Voice” and help FOUR PAWS save lambs. Specifically, they are raising awareness to help merino wool lambs who are subjected to live lamb cutting, a cruel practice where large pieces of skin and flesh are sliced around a lamb's buttocks. Although this procedure is very painful, it is often practiced without necessary pain management. Eighty percent of the fine merino wool for the global fashion market comes from Australia - the only country in the world where live lamb cutting is legally and commonly practiced, and FOUR PAWS’ ultimate goal is a ban on live lamb cutting in Australia by 2030.
Unlike lambs impacted by the cruel practice of live lamb cutting, Lamb Chop has always had a voice. Now it's up to all of us to #BeTheirVoice!
